Letterpress prints composed with metal type and original images on photopolymer plates
In these assignments we used two different techniques for creating photopolymer plates to construct a pairing of text and image, and I also used two different techniques in their printing. In "You Lose Twice," the scratched illustration interacts with the text below through the action of the arrow, whereas in "Oh, Former Renter," the text of the haiku itself is printed over the photographic plate, while the author's name sits just outside the image yet still within the bounds of the irregular frame.
